Samsung TV Plus is taking us on a nostalgic road trip for those of us who grew up watching cartoons in the 90s. The company has launched a new free channel featuring The Super Mario Bros. Super Show, one of the earliest animated TV series based on Nintendo’s famous video game franchise. The channel runs all day, every day, and does not require a subscription to watch.

You can now watch a bunch of nostalgic shows on Samsung TV Plus in Mexico

What made The Super Mario Bros. Super Show stand out was its unusual format. Each episode opened with live-action scenes featuring Mario and Luigi, played by Lou Albano and Danny Wells. These bits were set in a tiny plumbing shop and leaned fully into goofy humor, complete with silly skits and surprise celebrity cameos. Yes, even Magic Johnson showed up, because the 90s were like that.

Then the show would jump straight into animated adventures, usually right after that unforgettable “It’s-a me, Mario!” energy kicked in. If you grew up in that era, this is pure Saturday morning TV comfort food. And if you didn’t, well, it probably still doesn’t need much explanation.

The channel also includes the full animated Legend of Zelda series from 1989. All 13 episodes are available and follow Link and Princess Zelda as they protect the Triforce of Wisdom from Ganon. The show mixes fantasy action with light comedy. Furthermore, you can also The Smurfs, Inspector Gadget and Sonic.

The new channel is currently live on Samsung TV Plus in Mexico on channel 2260. Samsung has not confirmed if or when it will expand to more regions. Still, for fans of classic Nintendo shows, it’s an easy and free way to revisit a very different era of gaming history. We’ll obviously let you know if and when Samsung makes it available elsewhere.
