Samsung Begins Internal One UI 8.5 Testing for Galaxy S24 FE

The One UI 8.5 beta program is now live, and Samsung has officially confirmed that the Galaxy S26 series will ship with One UI 8.5. That basically means Samsung is right on track and actively testing the upcoming update across multiple devices. The latest device to join the One UI 8.5 testing is the Galaxy S24 FE.
Galaxy S24 FE inches a step closer to the One UI 8.5 update
Alfatürk spotted the development, confirming that Samsung has started testing the One UI 8.5 build for the Galaxy S24 FE. The build version in question is S721BXXU8DYLB. Tarun Vats adds that it’s actually the stable build, not a beta build. We weren’t expecting a beta anyway, but this clears up any lingering confusion.
The beta program for the One UI 8.5 is currently live only for the Galaxy S25 trio, and even then, only in a few regions. It’s likely that Samsung will eventually roll out the beta program for the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7. Then again, nothing is certain yet. What’s officially confirmed, however, is that the Galaxy S26 series will ship running One UI 8.5. After which, the company will begin pushing the update to more devices.
One UI 8.5 brings a ton of new features, many of which we’ve been able to look at for quite a while now. In a separate article, we’ve broken down every One UI 8.5 feature, including some that haven’t even made it into the beta build yet. You can check out everything that’s new there. And if you own one of the Galaxy S25 models, here’s how you can join the One UI 8.5 beta program.
