Samsung has improved its Samsung Health in One UI 8.5, the company’s latest major Android 16-based update. The app now brings more information to weekly reports, while offering an upgraded sharing experience. It also allows you to start medications and measure antioxidant levels directly from your watch.

Samsung improves its health tracking platform in One UI 8.5

Samsung Health lets you track your fitness, sleep, heart rate, and more. With the new One UI 8.5 update, the app adds new features to help users better understand their overall health. Previously, weekly reports in the app showed several key metrics such as workouts and sleep. Now, the report shows information from your medication tracker and mindfulness sessions. This means you can get a complete view of both physical and mental well-being in one place.

Samsung also makes sharing health data easier and more fun. Earlier, you could share workout stats with friends, but now you can combine them with photos from your exercise sessions. This will help you create a perfect social media post.

Furthermore, Samsung Health brings important changes for Galaxy Watch users. First, you can now start favorite or recommended medications directly from your wrist without using your phone. This feature is helpful if you take regular medications and want a convenient way to track them.

Another improvement is the ability to measure antioxidant levels using the Galaxy Watch, even if it’s not connected to a phone. This feature is available for the Galaxy Watch 8 and Galaxy Watch Ultra. Thanks to BioActive Sensor, the watch can measure skin carotenoids. It gives users an Antioxidant Index from 0 to 100. This score helps people understand their diet, alcohol intake, UV exposure, and stress.

If you want to experience the new Samsung Health features, you will need to participate in the One UI 8.5 beta program. As of now, only Galaxy S25 series users in select markets, including the US, can access the update.
