Samsung Explains Vision AI Companion Features and Benefits

A few weeks ago, Samsung launched its Vision AI Companion for its smart TVs and monitors. The company has now explained how this new AI platform makes the TV an interactive and connected hub for the entire household. The idea is to allow users to ask questions, get personalized recommendations, and handle tasks using simple voice commands.
Vision AI Companion brings intelligent conversations to your TV
Powered by Generative AI, Vision AI Companion provides natural conversations and understands follow-up questions. The AI uses an upgraded version of Bixby that understands natural language and context. You don’t need to navigate complicated menus — simply ask a question by pressing the dedicated AI button and the TV will give the answer with visuals and related content.
Vision AI Companion uses multiple AI systems, including Microsoft Copilot and Perplexity. As a result, AI can deliver smart responses to your complex query. For example, if you ask, “What’s the best way to grill pork belly?” it will show a list of step-by-step recipe videos. This new kind of search experience brings everyone in the home closer together.

Apart from answering questions, Vision AI Companion offers a host of features that make entertainment more enjoyable. For example, Live Translate offers on-screen translation of dialogue and conversations in real time, making it easy to understand foreign content. Likewise, AI Gaming Mode optimizes picture and sound for an improved gaming experience. Furthermore, Generative Wallpaper creates dynamic visuals while AI Picture and AI Upscaling Pro automatically make every scene look great.
Samsung also aims to bring Vision AI Companion’s cutting-edge AI feature to more people in more places. As of now, it supports 10 languages, including Korean, English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, and Portuguese. Built on One UI Tizen, the platform is available for the 2025 display product lineup, including Neo QLED, Micro RGB, OLED, QLED step-up TVs, Smart Monitors, and The Movingstyle.
