New Leak Says Galaxy S26 Series Will Keep Its Slim Design

The Galaxy S26 series has been the subject of countless leaks lately. And while most specs are starting to fall into place, the physical dimensions remain a point of confusion. Early reports suggested slimmer designs across all three models, but a recent leak claimed otherwise. Now, a reliable industry insider has pushed back, insisting those figures are incorrect and that the Galaxy S26 lineup will, in fact, be thinner than expected.
Leaker insists that Samsung’s Galaxy S26 series will have slimmer designs
A reputed source recently shared CAD renders for the Galaxy S26, claiming that the device will measure 149.5 x 71.6 x 7.24 mm. Those figures immediately raised eyebrows, as they didn’t align with earlier leaks and hinted at a thicker design than expected. However, tipster Ice Universe has now shared what he describes as the “official and accurate data” for the upcoming Samsung flagships.
According to him, the base Galaxy S26 will measure 149.4 x 71.5 x 6.9 mm, while the S26 Ultra will measure 163.6 x 78.1 x 7.9 mm. As for the Galaxy S26+, the tipster has dismissed the reported 158.4 x 75.7 x 7.35 mm dimensions as incorrect, with the “official” dimensions being 158.4mm x 75.8mm x 7.3mm.
The source maintains that these are the finalized measurements and should be treated as the standard reference going forward. If true, this means all three Galaxy S26 models will be slightly thinner than their respective predecessors. However, it remains unclear why there’s such a discrepancy between leaks — possibly due to differing prototype stages or inconsistent CAD data.
With mass production expected soon, the official measurements should surface in the coming weeks. Or maybe we will have to wait longer, as there’s confusion around the launch timeline as well. Some say Samsung will unveil the Galaxy S26 series in late January, while others hint at a month-long delay, pushing market release to March 2026. Stay tuned for more updates/
