Samsung has teamed up with the Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) to showcase a new AI-powered modular home solution at the “2025 Smart Construction, Safety, and AI Expo.” The event (held at KINTEX in Ilsan) began today and runs through November 7th. This year, about 250 companies are participating in the large-scale exhibition.

Samsung brings smart living to life with an AI modular home solution

Based on SmartThings, Samsung’s modular home solution connects appliances, IoT sensors, lighting, door locks, heating and cooling systems, energy solutions, and ventilation systems. The system optimizes the indoor environment and improves energy efficiency to enhance the smart home experience for residents. Thanks to its turnkey modular construction, residents can start using the AI Home features immediately after moving in.

At the exhibition, Samsung has implemented a 51-square-meter model home for single-person and two-person households. The home features five main areas, including the entrance, kitchen, living room, bedroom, and laundry room. Visitors can experience how the AI Home solution makes daily life more convenient, helps save time and energy, supports the health of residents, and ensures strong safety and security.

At the home entrance, smart door locks and doorbells offer secure and convenient access. They can also trigger automated routines, such as turning on the air conditioner, air purifier, and lights when residents return home. The kitchen offers a smart cooking experience thanks to refrigerator features such as Daily Board, AI Vision Inside, and Auto Open Door.

In the living room, visitors can control connected home devices using SmartThings Map View. The Quick Remote feature lets them operate nearby Samsung products and check their operating times. Meanwhile, the bedroom provides a comfortable sleeping environment through a pre-created sleep routine.

“Based on our smart modular home solution, we will provide user-centered innovation and present a new paradigm for the next-generation residential environment,” said Yang Hye-soon, Vice President of Samsung Electronics’ DA Business Division. Furthermore, the exhibition also presented Samsung’s Bespoke AI appliance lineup. These include Bespoke AI Hybrid 4-Door Kitchen Fit Max, Bespoke AI Induction, and Bespoke AI Combo.
