When Do Galaxy S26 Sales Begin? Probably Not Until March 2026

Samsung fans waiting for the upcoming Galaxy S26 series might need to wait longer than expected. According to new reports, the company is delaying the launch of its next flagship lineup by a month. If true, sales may not begin until the second week of March 2026. Pre-orders should start in late February.
Galaxy S26 launch expected in late February 2026, sales in March
Samsung is reportedly planning to hold its next Galaxy Unpacked event on February 25, 2026, in San Francisco. The event should bring the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra. If the rumored date is accurate, we are looking at a five-week delay compared to this year’s Galaxy S25 launch, which took place on January 22, 2025.
As usual, Samsung opened pre-orders immediately after launch. The pre-order period ran for two weeks, with general sales beginning on February 7, 2025. If the company follows a similar pattern, the Galaxy S26 series may not hit store shelves until March 13 next year. Even if Samsung decides to keep a shorter pre-order window, you may have to wait until March 6, 2026, for the official market release.
The delay may disappoint early adopters, especially those expecting a similar release cadence as last year. However, the shift could give Samsung more time to optimize production, particularly for the Exynos 2600 chipset and the Galaxy S26+, which reportedly requires additional development time.
This delay could also push back the One UI 8.5 rollout for other Galaxy devices. The new software will debut with the Galaxy S26 series, and Samsung is unlikely to roll it out to older models until the new flagships hit the market. A beta program was expected later this month, but it now appears delayed too. Internal One UI 8.5 testing continues, revealing a plethora of new features and enhancements.
