Samsung initially aimed to wrap up the One UI 8 rollout by November, but at its current pace, it might complete the job much sooner. The company is rapidly expanding the Android 16-based update to eligible Galaxy devices across the globe. In just the past few hours, half a dozen mid-range models have received it. Now, a few more have joined the list: Galaxy XCover 7 Pro, Galaxy M35, and Galaxy M34.

One UI 8 update hits more Samsung Galaxy smartphones

The One UI 8 update for the Galaxy Xcover 7 Pro carries firmware version BYI6 and is currently live in South Korea. The Galaxy M35 and Galaxy M34 are receiving the update in India with build versions EYI8 and CYI8, respectively. All three models are getting massive OTA (over the air) packages, weighing more than 2.3GB. The September 2025 security patch is part of the package.

But more importantly, this update brings a wave of enhancements and visual refinements across Samsung’s interface, apps, and features. Calendar, Gallery, MY Files, Samsung DeX, Samsung Notes, Reminder, Samsung Internet, and Weather all get UI and functional upgrades. One UI 8 also brings deeper AI integration, improved multitasking, camera upgrades, and Now Bar and Now Brief upgrades to Galaxy devices.

As usual, the rollout should expand to other regions in the coming days. If you are using a Galaxy XCover 7 Pro, Galaxy M35, or Galaxy M34, or any other eligible Samsung smartphone, you can check for it manually by heading to Settings > Software update > Download and install. While mid-range models miss out on some features, One UI 8 still has plenty to look forward to.

Meanwhile, Samsung is already working on One UI 8.5, the next version of its software skin, which will build upon these improvements with even deeper AI integration and visual refinements. All of these devices are expected to receive that update next year.
