Samsung Launches Galaxy M07 with IP54 Rating and 6 Years of Updates

Samsung has launched a new entry-level smartphone, the Galaxy M07, in India. The phone arrives with some meaningful upgrades over its predecessor, making it a solid option for budget-conscious buyers. It is available for purchase from Amazon India with great discounts, likely due to the ongoing festival sale.
Samsung’s Galaxy M07 is official with some meaningful upgrades
Samsung’s Galaxy M07 is basically a rebranded Galaxy A07, which debuted a few weeks ago in select markets. While both devices share the same specifications, the company has positioned the M07 under its M series to attract online buyers in India. The phone measures 164.4 x 77.4 x 7.6 mm and weighs 184 g, making it slimmer and lighter than its predecessor (8 mm, 191 g).
The Galaxy M07 features a 6.7-inch LCD screen with HD+ resolution (720×1600 pixels) and a 90Hz refresh rate. It comes with an IP54 rating, an upgrade over its predecessor, for dust and water resistance. Under the hood, Samsung equips the Galaxy M07 with MediaTek’s Helio G99 chipset, which scores over 422,000 on the AnTuTu benchmark.
In the camera department, the phone boasts a dual rear camera system with a 50MP (f/1.8) main unit and a 2MP (f/2.4) depth sensor. For selfies and video calls, there’s an 8MP front camera with an f/2.0 aperture. Thanks to its larger 5,000 mAh battery with 25W fast charging support, it should be suitable for all-day usage.
On the software front, the phone runs Android 15-based One UI 7 out of the box. The best thing is that Samsung will offer 6 years of Android OS upgrades and 6 years of security updates. Other features include a 3.5mm headphone jack, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, a USB Type-C port, and stereo speakers.
While Samsung’s official listing does not mention the price or allow purchases yet, Amazon is already selling the device for INR 6,999, which is 30% lower than the regular price of INR 9,999. However, it is available only in black for the single 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant.
