Samsung Announces One UI 8 Update Schedule for Malaysia [U]

Samsung is expanding the One UI 8 update to more regions! Today, it’s Malaysia’s turn, as Galaxy S25 series users will soon being receiving the One UI 8 update. Following yesterday’s rollout in Korea, Samsung has also shared the One UI 8 release schedule for Malaysian users. Let’s take a closer look.

Samsung has announced that the Galaxy S25 series will receive the One UI 8 update on September 18. Shortly after, the update will roll out to the Galaxy S24 series (including the FE) and the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 on September 25. On October 2, the update will expand to the Galaxy S23 series (including the FE) and the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Flip 5. The Galaxy S22 series and Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Flip 4 are scheduled to get the update on October 6. Finally, the Galaxy S21 FE will receive it on October 16.

In the fine print, Samsung lists all the Galaxy devices scheduled to receive the update in 2025. Note that this is not a comprehensive list and only includes devices expected to get the update through December 31.

The list also includes the Galaxy A17 (4G), which has not yet hit the market. Its presence on the list suggests that Samsung will launch it soon in Malaysia. Interestingly, it also appeared in a Kenyan listing today.
