Samsung’s $2,199 S95F OLED TV Proves Its Excellence with Real Black Certification

Samsung’s latest OLED TV model, S95F, has proven to deliver a true black viewing experience. The Korean firm revealed that its TV has obtained Real Black certification from Verband der Elektrotechnik (VDE). This shows that the company’s Glare-Free technology supports deep black colors even in bright viewing conditions.

Samsung’s S95F OLED TV meets the highest standard for Real Black validation

Earlier this year, Samsung launched its latest OLED 4K TV lineup, including the flagship S95F. It arrived as the company’s brightest-ever OLED display with a Glare-Free coating and a 165Hz refresh rate. Now, the VDE certification confirms that the TV show crisp, reflection-free images with near-perfect blacks. Furthermore, it maintains accurate blacks even in sunlit rooms and under direct sunlight. This allows users to enjoy crystal-clear visuals with deep blacks in their purest form.

Thanks to Samsung’s Glare-Free 2.0 technology, it can reduce reflections while preserving the depth and detail of black levels. The Electrical Engineering Certification Institute tested the S95F under several viewing conditions to evaluate how truly black the display appears.

The tests measured the level of distraction caused by light reflections for viewers while watching TV. Furthermore, the display’s black level performance was tested in a dark room to ensure they were 0.005 nits or lower. It also measured how much glare Glare-Free technology reduces.
