Galaxy Users Want Samsung to Restore an Auto Lock Option in Secure Folder

While Samsung has improved its Secure Folder in One UI 8, it has also made a key change that has sparked discussions among users. Protected by the Knox security platform, Samsung’s Secure Folder lets Galaxy users create a private space within their devices. You can lock the folder using a PIN, pattern, or biometric authentication, which makes it easy to keep sensitive information safe from prying eyes. Within this separate storage, you can store a bunch of confidential data, such as photos, files, and apps.

Before One UI 8, Secure Folder offered six auto-lock options, allowing the folder to lock in several convenient ways. In a post on the Samsung US community forum, tipster @tarunvats33 wrote, “Please bring back the Each time I leave an app option in Secure Folder, which was removed after the One UI 8 update. I think the Secure Folder is not secure anymore, as everyone can open it while the phone screen is on.”
