Samsung 9100 PRO SSD Now Available in Massive 8TB Capacity

Earlier this year, Samsung unveiled its 9100 PRO series SSDs with up to 4TB capacity. The company has now introduced an 8TB option, the largest storage yet in the company’s NVMe portfolio. As of now, it is available for pre-order from the official online store, alongside the Heatsink variant, which offers an additional layer of thermal control.
Enjoy faster speeds and better efficiency with 9100 PRO SSD
The 9100 PRO SSD uses PCIe 5.0 to offer blazing sequential speeds of up to 14,800 MB/s read and 13,400 MB/s write. This is about twice as fast as the previous generation. Furthermore, random read/write speeds of up to 2,200K/2,600K IOPS ensure that you can access your favorite games and apps faster than ever before.
Thanks to its advanced 5nm controller, the 9100 PRO uses less power while offering top performance. The company also introduced the Heatsink version, providing additional cooling for more stable performance during heavy use. Overall, the drive delivers up to 49% improved power efficiency over the previous model with a slim profile of 0.44 inches thick.

With 8TB of storage, the 9100 PRO SSD will let you access more storage than ever for all tasks. These include handling professional video editing, generating AI content, gaming, and more. It sets a new benchmark for reliable storage across compatible laptops, desktop PCs, and PlayStation 5. Furthermore, Samsung Magician Software keeps your drive running like new and protects your data.
“With more storage, even better speeds, improved power efficiency, and seamless reliability, the lineup empowers users to continue innovating without storage limitations,” said Jim Kiczek, Vice President of Memory Product Marketing at Samsung Electronics America.
As for pricing, the 8TB 9100 PRO SSD costs $999, while the Heatsink version retails for $1,019. If you want the latest high-performance SSD technology in smaller capacities, you can pick the 1TB, 2TB, or 4TB models. They are currently available for $129, $199, and $399, respectively, on the Samsung website.
