Update 09/06 1PM ET: The report is based on an event listing that’s still live on a third-party site. Given past patterns, Samsung would likely have announced details by now. In the absence of an official announcement, it’s unlikely that the company will host SDC on the suggested date. Samsung has not yet responded to a query sent on August 27.

Samsung is bringing its annual developer conference back to San Francisco this fall. The Samsung Developer Conference (SDC) 2025 is now just a few weeks away. More specifically, Samsung will host SDC 2025 on October 3 at Moscone North, San Francisco, kicking off at 10 am local time, according to an event listing.

What can you expect from SDC 2025

As always, the event will bring together developers, engineers, partners, and media to catch up on what’s next from Samsung. Attendees can expect detailed insights into upcoming launches and plenty of exciting updates. That said, this year’s event does seem a little different, based on what is outlined in the official listing.

Compared to SDC 2024, which carried the theme AI for All and was packed with major reveals such as One UI 7, new Bixby features, and more, the 2025 conference appears to be more developer-focused. And that is exactly what one would expect from a Developer Conference.

“The Samsung Developer Conference (SDC) is an annual event where developers and innovators gather to explore Samsung’s latest advancements in AI, IoT, mobile, and smart devices. SDC offers sessions, workshops, and networking opportunities to shape the future of technology.” the event description reads.

We have reached out to Samsung for a comment. We’ll update the story once we receive a response.

Nevertheless, we are just as excited to see what Samsung has in store for this year’s developer conference. At SDC 2024, we published an exclusive first look at One UI 7, showcasing redesigned app icons, a refreshed notification shade, updated quick settings, and more. It was also reportedly the first live demo of Samsung’s Android 15 skin.
