Samsung Expands August 2025 Update to Galaxy S24 FE and S23 FE

Samsung is continuing its August 2025 security update rollout, now bringing the latest patch to the Galaxy S23 FE and Galaxy S24 FE. After debuting in select regions earlier this month, the update has recently expanded to Europe and will reach more markets soon. Neither model is eligible for One UI 8 beta, which rolls out to additional devices in the coming weeks.
Galaxy S24 FE and S23 FE receive the August 2025 update
The new firmware for the two Fan Edition smartphones is based on Android 15 with One UI 7. The Galaxy S24 FE’s build comes with firmware version S721BXXS7BYH1, while that for the S24 FE is S711BXXSAEYH1. The update focuses on improving device stability, patching dozens of vulnerabilities across various Android and One UI components. There aren’t any new features or functional upgrades in tow, which isn’t surprising at all.
Samsung is currently working on Android 16-based One UI 8 updates for the duo, with a host of new features and upgrades. However, as mentioned above, the devices will not receive beta builds. Users must wait until the stable release, which may happen in October. While Samsung plans to begin the stable One UI 8 rollout in September, the initial rollout may only cover the Galaxy S25, S24, and S23 flagship models.
Nonetheless, the August 2025 update for the Galaxy S24 FE and S23 FE lays the groundwork for the transition to One UI 8. It ensures users enjoy a smoother and more secure experience ahead of the next big upgrade. If you haven’t received the update notification yet, you can check manually by heading to Settings > Software update > Download and install on your device. Stay tuned for more information about Samsung’s One UI 8 rollout plans.
