Samsung has ramped up preparations for the Galaxy S24 FE launch. Expected to debut in October, the phone is rapidly passing through regulatory hurdles. It recently surfaced on the Bluetooth SIG website, confirming the existence of a US version. We are still awaiting a launch date for the new Fan Edition handset.

Galaxy S24 FE is coming to the US, Bluetooth certification confirms

The Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG), the organization responsible for the development and licensing of Bluetooth technologies, recently certified the Galaxy S24 FE with the model number SM-S721U. It is the US version of Samsung’s upcoming Fan Edition smartphone. We have already seen global versions of the device on other certification and benchmark listings.

While the Bluetooth listing for the Galaxy S24 FE doesn’t reveal specs, it hints at a nearing launch of the phone. Samsung is expected to ship it with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor in the US. The device should boast up to 12GB RAM, 5G cellular connectivity, Wi-Fi 6E, and Bluetooth v5.3. The global version will get an underclocked Exynos 2400 chipset, allegedly named Exynos 2400e.

This chipset has a slightly underclocked prime CPU core. The rest of the CPU cores operate at the same frequency as the standard version. The 12GB RAM variant of the Galaxy S24 FE should be widely available as Samsung plans to introduce more AI features to the Fan Edition lineup this year. Advanced AI tools require more RAM — the Galaxy S25 Ultra is getting 16GB RAM.

The Galaxy S24 FE also brings display and battery upgrades, but the cameras may remain unchanged. We are expecting a 50MP primary shooter, a 12MP ultrawide lens, an 8MP 3x zoom camera, and a 10MP selfie camera. The phone will run Android 14 out of the box, with Samsung offering at least four major Android OS updates. An official launch may not be too far off now.
