Samsung has officially unveiled the Galaxy Buds 3 FE, the newest addition to its wireless earbuds portfolio. Positioned as the Fan Edition of the Buds 3 flagship series, the Buds 3 FE are designed to strike a balance between price and premium features. They succeed last year’s Galaxy Buds FE and come with meaningful upgrades in design, audio, noise cancellation, and battery life. Galaxy Buds 3 FE sport the same stemmed design as the flagship counterparts

The Buds 3 FE adopt the stem-style design introduced with the Galaxy Buds 3 and Buds 3 Pro. This makes them easier to handle and control through swipe and pinch gestures. Similar to the Pro model, you get rubber ear tips here. However, the FE buds lack the Blade Lights LED strips, opting instead for a matte finish that gives them a clean, minimalist look. Samsung equipped the Buds 3 FE with 11mm dynamic drivers, tuned for punchy bass and crisp treble. For calls, each earbud includes six microphones with improved placement. Samsung claims that AI-powered voice isolation ensures clearer conversations even in noisy environments. Supported codecs include AAC, SBC, and SSC. The Buds 3 FE also offer Enhanced Active Noise Cancellation (up to 32dB) and Ambient Mode to let outside sounds in when needed.

This pair supports Auto Switch for seamless device pairing across the Galaxy ecosystem, as well as Galaxy AI features such as real-time translations via Interpreter Mode, checking emails, calendars, and messages, music playback controls, and summoning Google Gemini with the “Hey Google” hotword.

Each earbud packs a 53mAh battery, while the case houses 515mAh. Battery life is rated at 8.5 hours with ANC off, going up to 30 hours with the case. When ANC is used, the rated battery life drops to 6 hours (earbuds) and up to 24 hours (with case). The case features a USB-C port, a semi-transparent lid, and a pairing button. Unlike the Buds 3 Pro, it does not support wireless charging.

The new Samsung wireless earphones will be available in Matte Black and White starting September 5, 2025, for $149 in the US. That makes them $30 cheaper than the standard Galaxy Buds 3 ($179) but $100 less than the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro ($249).
