Galaxy A17 Could Bring Back In-Box Charger, European Pricing Revealed

There was a time when chargers were always included in the box, but that has changed drastically in recent years. While a few phones still come with chargers, they’re becoming increasingly rare. However, it looks like Samsung might be including a charger in the box once again with the upcoming Galaxy A17.
Galaxy A17 may come with a charger in the box
Leaked promotional materials suggest that the upcoming Galaxy A17 will ship with a charger in the box. Android Headlines published several of these materials, one of which includes an image that appears to confirm it. It’s a small detail in the marketing content. But a meaningful one, especially considering Samsung’s 2021 decision to remove chargers from all smartphone packaging.

What remains unclear, however, is whether the Galaxy A17 will include a charger in every region or only in select markets. That’s something to keep an eye on. The leaked materials show a European-style charging plug, which suggests this change might be region-specific. That wouldn’t be surprising. Still, given how much revenue the Galaxy A1x series brings in for Samsung, perhaps it’s time for the company to reconsider its strategy.
Another report (via Xpertpick) revealed pricing details. According to which, the Galaxy A17 4G will be priced at €289.90 and will come with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. It’s expected to launch in black, gray, and light blue. Meanwhile, the Galaxy A17 5G will cost €319.90 for the same memory and storage configuration and will be available in black, blue, and gray.

Additionally, the Galaxy A17 5G will equip Exynos 1330 chipset. It will feature a 5,000 mAh battery with 25W fast charging and will ship running One UI 7. The phone might have a 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED display. On the back, we’ll see a triple-camera system: 50 MP main sensor with OIS, a 5 MP ultrawide, and a 2 MP macro lens. The 4G model could use MediaTek’s Helio G99 and will also run One UI 7.
