Exynos 2600 Benchmark Leak Reveals Key Deca-Core CPU Specs

Samsung’s chip division has had a rocky few years as its first 3nm mobile processor, the Exynos 2500, faced significant challenges. The company now aims to turn the tide with its next-gen Exynos 2600. Built on a more advanced 2nm process, this new chipset is expected to power the upcoming Galaxy S26 series. Ahead of its official debut, the Exynos 2600 appeared in a benchmark listing, offering an early look at its key CPU specs and performance capabilities.
Exynos 2600 surfaces on Geekbench to reveal key specs
As expected, the Exynos 2600 has a deca-core CPU in a triple-cluster arrangement. There’s one primary core operating at 3.55GHz, accompanied by three mid-cores at 2.96GHz and six more mid-cores at 2.46GHz. Samsung seems to have ditched small cores, which is quickly becoming a standard practice. Qualcomm and MediaTek have also stopped offering small cores in their flagship chipsets.
Note that Samsung’s Exynos 2500 still has small cores, with the chipset featuring a deca-core CPU in a quad-cluster arrangement. It has one Cortex-X925 prime core running at 3.3GHz, two Cortex-A725 mid-cores at 2.74GHz, five more Cortex-A725 mid-cores at 2.36GHz, and two Cortex-A520 small cores at 1.8GHz. The next-gen model sees notable changes in the CPU setup alongside a substantial speed boost.
It may still fail to match the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 in raw power. The next-gen Qualcomm chip may hit a top speed of 4.74GHz. If true, it might be better for Samsung not to use the Exynos 2600 (model number S5E9965) in its Galaxy S26 series anywhere, at least not split the same model between the two chips. The performance gap could be too big to justify the move.
The Exynos 2600 was tested on Geekbench v6.4 using an Exynos Reference Design with 12GB of RAM. It scored 2,155 in single-core tests and 7,788 in multi-core tests. However, these may not truly indicate the chip’s performance levels. Earlier leaks said the Exynos 2600 will hit scores close to 3,000 and 10,000, respectively. Those for the Snapdragon 8 Elite are said to be around 4,000 and 11,000, respectively. Expect more details to emerge in the coming months.
