Samsung might finally begin rolling out the stable One UI 8 update to eligible devices in August. But before that, the company is preparing the latest security patch for a range of devices, some of which have already received it. Reportedly, the Galaxy Tab S9 FE has now picked up the July 2025 security update in its home market.

As shared by @ya_sking12767 on X, Samsung is now rolling out the July 2025 security update to the Galaxy Tab S9 FE in South Korea. That likely means other regions will get the update sometime next week. The build number is X510XXS8CYG1. The update weighs around 311MB.

The July 2025 security patch brings over 40 fixes from Samsung, Google, and others. It addresses 21 high-severity Android issues, one critical flaw, and some Exynos vulnerabilities. On top of that, it includes 17 Samsung-specific Vulnerabilities and Exposures (SVEs) affecting Galaxy phones, tablets, and wearables. Key fixes cover the KnoxVault trustlet, Galaxy Watch features, and a Wi-Fi password leak issue on tablets.

Unless you’re in South Korea, the update might not be live for your Galaxy Tab S9 FE just yet. You can keep an eye on Settings > Software update. If it pops up, just tap Download and install. As always, it’s a good idea to stay on top of these updates to keep your device secure.

One thing to note: this update is still based on One UI 7. We’re still waiting on the Android 16-based One UI 8. Samsung dropped the stable One UI 8 with its new foldables earlier this month but hasn’t shared the rollout schedule for older Galaxy devices yet. For what it’s worth, the Galaxy Tab S9 FE is eligible for four major updates. So it’s getting One UI 8 and eventually One UI 9 too.
