Samsung is continuing to test the upcoming Android 16-based One UI 8 update on a range of devices. So far, testing has already begun on several models, including flagships, mid-range phones, and tablets. Tomorrow, Samsung’s new foldables are set to debut with One UI 8 out of the box, and a broader rollout is likely to follow soon.

Samsung is preparing One UI 8 update for the Galaxy A25

Regular updates tracker Akhilesh Kumar has spotted Samsung internally testing the One UI 8 build for the Galaxy A25. The build number is A256BXXU7DYG1, suggesting that Samsung isn’t leaving mid-range devices behind. That also means the Galaxy A25 is expected to receive the Android 16-based One UI 8 update soon, possibly alongside other A-series models.

Currently, Samsung is testing the One UI 8 beta exclusively on the Galaxy S25 trio. It’s still unclear whether more devices or regions will be included in the beta phase. Nevertheless, a broader rollout is likely to begin in the coming weeks, especially as internal builds continue to appear for more models.

One UI 8 brings several useful upgrades. Even if they’re not as visually striking as those introduced in One UI 7. This time, the emphasis is on smoother performance, better system optimization, and everyday usability improvements. Likewise, excitement is growing for the final release. And Samsung is expected to share the rollout timeline at — or shortly after — the Galaxy Unpacked event.

Honestly, we’re just as eager as you are to see what this new update brings.
