Samsung Members Update Pulls the Plug on These Key Features

If you own a Samsung device, you’re probably already familiar with everything the Members app offers. The app is a go-to destination for any query, packed with handy features like running diagnostics and a dedicated community section where you can connect with others. Now, Samsung is rolling out the new v5.4.00.10 update to Members app, which puts the final nail in the coffin for a few features.
Samsung Members app update takes down three useful features
This update comes as no surprise. Samsung announced last month that it would release an update to the Members app that would remove some features. These features include My Products, Register, and Request Service. With the new update, these features are gone and have been removed from the Members app.
The My Products section allowed users to see all their registered Samsung devices in one place. It provided details like model numbers, serial numbers, and specifications. The Register feature enabled users to add new devices to their Samsung account, granting access to exclusive offers and faster warranty support. Meanwhile, the Request Service option directed users to the Samsung Digital Service Center for technical help.
Samsung has not given a clear explanation for removing these tools. It’s possible the company analyzed usage data and decided the features were not widely used within the app. Alternatively, Samsung may be planning to redesign or move these services elsewhere to streamline the app experience. For now, users looking to register devices or seek service support will have to rely on Samsung’s official website.
For now, Samsung Members will continue to focus on diagnostics, news, and community features, while device registration and service requests move online. If these key features somehow make a comeback in future updates, we’ll surely keep you in the loop. Stay tuned.
