While there’s little to no chance of seeing Samsung’s upcoming tri-fold at next month’s Unpacked event, the first rumors are starting to trickle in. Earlier reports suggest that Samsung’s tri-fold could finally make its debut as early as Q3 2025. However, global availability is unlikely right away. It may take some time, possibly until Q1 2026, if everything goes according to plan.

Latest rumors say Samsung Galaxy tri-fold will pack a Snapdragon processor, 16GB RAM

Reliable tipster PandaFlashPro has stirred up some exciting rumors about the Samsung tri-fold. One of the claims suggests that Samsung’s tri-fold phone will be powered by a Snapdragon chipset. While the tipster didn’t specify which one, the Snapdragon 8 Elite or Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 are likely candidates.

Another rumor points to the phone featuring a titanium and aluminum build, which, needless to say, would enhance its durability. While it’s still too early to take all of these claims at face value, the tipster also notes that the device won’t include an under-display camera. Interestingly, the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 7 may also lack one, based on recent renders, though the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition (unboxing) does feature it.

On a more positive note, the Galaxy tri-fold is expected to come with 16GB of RAM, matching what the Galaxy Z Fold 7 is likely to offer. However, PandaFlashPro also mentioned some “disappointment” around the battery capacity, though they didn’t share specific details.

As expected, the Galaxy tri-fold won’t be cheap. According to recent leaks and speculation, it could start at around $3,000. That price point would put it in direct competition with the Huawei Mate XT. Still, Samsung will likely have a few strong cards to play, including the Snapdragon processor and, of course, the advantage of running Android.
