UPDATE (June 23): On June 23, 2025, Samsung rolled out an update for its Galaxy Wearable app (version 2.2.63.25060561), separating Buds controls. All Galaxy Buds settings and controls are now available directly from Bluetooth settings. Galaxy Wearable now only manages Galaxy Watch and other Samsung wearables. This update also fixed the bug that locked users out of the Galaxy Watch Manager.

Samsung’s recent update to the Galaxy Wearable or Buds/Watch Manager apps appears to have introduced a frustrating bug for users managing multiple Galaxy accessories. Several users have reported that they can no longer switch between the Buds and Watch managers within the app, a functionality that previously worked seamlessly. We’ve been able to independently confirm the existence of this bug.

Samsung may be preparing to split its Galaxy Watch and Buds Manager apps

The issue seems to revolve around the “device switcher” feature. We recently connected a Galaxy S25 Ultra to a Galaxy Buds 3 Pro and launched the Buds Manager interface through the Wearable app. Once there, we couldn’t return to the Watch Manager. Normally, users could navigate back and forth between connected devices, but that switching option has completely vanished.

The floating button at the bottom of the screen to switch between devices is gone, while there’s no sidebar either. Interestingly, disconnecting the earbuds allowed us to return to the main device selection screen. But that workaround no longer functions following the latest Galaxy Buds 3 Pro Manager update. Even after disconnecting the Galaxy Buds, the app remains stuck in the Buds Manager interface.

Force closing and reopening the Wearable app doesn’t resolve the issue—it simply reloads directly into the Buds Manager. Attempts to access the Watch Manager from app shortcuts or the Galaxy Store also redirect users back to the Buds interface.

Some speculate that Samsung may be preparing to split the Galaxy Buds and Galaxy Watch manager functions into separate apps — a move that has reportedly been discussed in beta community forums. However, the current implementation seems incomplete, leaving users in a frustrating limbo.

If you’re affected, there’s no confirmed fix as of now. Even restarting the phone didn’t let us go back to the Watch manager. Until Samsung addresses this Galaxy Wearable app bug or officially announces a new device management system, users juggling Galaxy Buds and Watch devices have limited control.
