Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7, Flip 7 Launch Could Slip By A Week

Samsung is ready to pull the wraps off its upcoming foldables next month. The company might’ve accidentally leaked the names, which is how we know the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 will launch at the July Unpacked. Reports say the event will take place in New York. Even though some suggested July 10, a new tip says it’ll likely happen in mid-July.

Samsung might’ve pushed the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 launch date

According to @Ricciolo1 on X (via GSMArena), Samsung might launch the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 in mid-July. That leads us to guess that July 15 or 16 could be the day Samsung pulls the wraps off the new foldables and the Galaxy Watch 8 series. It’s not a huge shift, but none of the earlier tips pointed to this date. In fact, previous reports strongly suggested the Unpacked event would happen in early July.

We wouldn’t be surprised if Samsung does go for a mid-July launch. The Galaxy S25 Edge was also supposed to launch in April but got pushed to May. While we don’t expect such a long delay this time, mid-July seems plausible. Historically, Samsung has launched foldables on a Wednesday. If they stick to that pattern and the source is right, we could very well see the launch on July 16.

The source also adds that the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will be slimmer and have better cameras, bigger screens, “better stamina” and higher price. We have seen multiple reports suggesting the possibility of bigger screens and slimmer profile, and we might see more confirmations shortly.

What’s on the table are the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Flip 7, and the Galaxy Watch 8 and Watch 8 Classic. The chances of a Galaxy Z Flip FE launching alongside them seem slim. It might arrive a few months after the event. For now, these are the devices we can be pretty sure will show up.
