Samsung has now started rolling out the One UI 8 beta for the Galaxy S25 series in select countries, which means everyone who joins can finally try out the new features. There are quite a few changes; you can check out the full changelog for all the details. One of the most exciting updates is that the redesigned Samsung Internet browser is now finally available with One UI 8 beta.

New menu dialog look in Samsung Internet on One UI 8

We at SammyGuru were the first to discover the new redesign for Samsung Internet back in April, but now it is evolving even further. The new menu design has changed slightly, now with increased margins on either side, instead of stretching to the edge of the display. The shortcuts on the top row have also been tweaked, ditching the accent color and now opting for a monochromatic palette.

This is now rolling out widely to version 28.0.2.43, so no need to dive into the debug menu.

Refreshed homepage isn’t widely available yet

Unfortunately, the entire redesign isn’t live yet. The refreshed homepage we showed off is still hidden behind a debug toggle.

One thing to note is that the Enable New GUI toggle has now been renamed to Enable Experimental Homepage. This unties itself from the aforementioned menu dialog redesign, and allows Samsung to roll out that new feature whilst continuing to work on the homepage redesign.

If you want to give the homepage redesign a try, then here is how you can enable it:

  1. Type internet://debug into the URL bar and hit enter
  2. Now enter the Internet settings, by hitting the three-lined menu button, and then tapping Settings
  3. Now scroll to the bottom of the page, and you should see a new Debug menu. Tap that.
  4. Now look for Main View and then enable Experimental Homepage
  5. Close and reopen Samsung Internet, and viola!

The One UI 8 update is an iterative update, which brings along refined interfaces and some exciting news features. We’ll likely see more such cool additions until the stable update starts rolling out.
