Google Will Help You See How Clothes Look on You Before You Buy

Google may have just solved one of the biggest problems in online shopping, which is not knowing how clothes will actually look on you. If you’ve ever bought something online that looked great on a model but didn’t fit or feel the same on you, you’re not alone. To help with this, Google announced a new feature at its I/O event that lets you try on clothes virtually before you buy them.
Love buying clothes online? Google’s your new best friend
With this new tool, now available in Search Labs in the US, you can upload a full-body photo of yourself and see how clothes would look on you. When you’re searching for items like shirts, pants, dresses, or skirts on Google, just tap the “try it on” button next to the product. Google will then use your photo to show a realistic image of you wearing that outfit. You can save the image or share it if you want.

The feature uses smart AI technology that understands different body shapes and how different types of fabric look when they stretch or fold on real people.
In addition to that, Google is also rolling out something called “AI Mode” which makes shopping even easier. For example, if you’re looking for a travel bag, you can tell Google exactly what you need. The AI will search and show you a list of products that match your needs.
And soon, Google will also help you buy things more easily with a new checkout tool. If you’ve been tracking a product and it drops to your preferred price, you can hit a new “buy for me” button. Google will then go to the store’s website and buy it for you using Google Pay.
