Samsung just launched the Galaxy S25 Edge, but the S25 lineup isn’t quite wrapped up yet. An FE variant is still in the pipeline, which is for anyone who wants flagship vibes without flagship pricing. And while the official launch is still a ways off, the Galaxy S25 FE just popped up on Geekbench.

Samsung’s Galaxy S25 FE spotted on Geekbench, revealing key specs

As shared by Tarun Vats, the Galaxy S25 FE has made its first appearance on Geekbench. According to the Geekbench listing, the Galaxy S25 FE bears the model number SM-S731U. The “U” suffix suggests this is a US variant.

The same model number has popped up before, so we can confidently say it’s indeed the Galaxy S25 FE. We can also see that it’s running Android 16, which hints that the Galaxy S25 FE will launch running One UI 8. We expect the Galaxy S25 FE to launch sometime around the end of Q3 or early Q4. By that time, One UI 8 should already have rolled out to some flagship models.

The device scored 2,064 in single-core and 6,899 in multi-core performance on Geekbench. Its CPU configuration includes a mix of cores: four clocked at 1.96GHz, three at 2.00GHz, two at 2.90GHz, and a high-performance core running at 3.21GHz, paired with 8GB of RAM. It is also equipped with Samsung’s Xclipse 940 GPU, suggesting the chipset could be the Exynos 2400. However, there are also reports hinting that it might instead pack a MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400. That means the final hardware could go either way.

Moreover, recent leaks have suggested that the Galaxy S25 FE may finally get a long-overdue upgrade to its selfie camera. According to these reports, Samsung could equip the Galaxy S25 FE with a 12MP front-facing camera sensor. Frankly, that’d make a notable improvement over its predecessor, Galaxy S24 FE, which features a 10MP sensor.
