Samsung has begun rolling out the One UI 7 update to the Galaxy A54. It is the third midrange model to receive the big Android 15 update, following the Galaxy A55 and A35. The company will soon release One UI 7 for more budget and midrange devices. It has already updated all eligible flagship smartphones.
One UI 7 is now available for the Galaxy A54
As of this writing, the Galaxy A54 is picking up One UI 7 in Samsung’s home country of South Korea, where it is known as the Quantum 4. The update comes with the firmware build number A546SKSU9DYD7 and weighs nearly 3.4GB. It likely brings the April 2025 security patch if not the May release. Samsung should expand its availability to other regions in the coming days.
One UI 7 brings a range of visual and functional upgrades to this Samsung midranger. You get a refreshed UI design, including redesigned icons and larger home screen folders, smoother system animations, vertical-scrolling app drawer for more intuitive navigation, improved widget customization options, and a more dynamic lock screen with customizable elements.
Additionally, One UI 7 introduces Now Bar, which displays real-time information like media playback directly on the lock screen. Many Samsung apps also receive a design overhaul, resulting in a more cohesive and modern interface across the system. It’s a massive update with tons of goodies. You can check for updates from Settings > Software update > Download and install.
As One UI 7 expands to more Galaxy smartphones and tablets worldwide, Samsung is already gearing up for the One UI 8 update. The Android 16-based update may hit the beta stage as early as next week, with the initial stable release expected in July. A wide rollout may not happen until August or September, though. We will keep you posted as more information hits the rumor mill.
