Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip 7 redesign plans may have been confirmed
According to the folks at Android Authority, the Galaxy Z Flip 7’s major redesign is shaping up to be the real deal. That means the Galaxy Z Flip 7 could feature a full cover display. The outlet discovered clues pointing to the redesign in leaked One UI 8 firmware files. Animations found within the firmware show the Galaxy Z Flip 5, Flip 6, and the upcoming Flip 7.
Notably, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 appears to flaunt a larger, full cover display. There’s only a cutout for the dual rear cameras. For a better idea of what to expect when the phone debuts in July, take a look at the CAD renders shared by OnLeaks (via Android Headlines) included below.
If this pans out, it could mark the most significant overhaul in the Flip lineup to date. The redesign could also position the Galaxy Z Flip 7 as a more premium alternative to the upcoming, more affordable Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE.
It won’t be long before these devices hit the spotlight. Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 at its July Unpacked event. While not much is known about the event just yet, it’s rumored to take place in New York.
Both the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 may run Android 16-based One UI 8 at launch. In related news, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 could measure just 3.9mm when unfolded.
