Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Edge is finally arriving, after months of waiting and anticipation. The official launch will take place on May 12 in the US (and May 13 in select regions, due to the time difference). To keep the excitement going, Samsung has now announced that the Galaxy S25 Edge will feature an all-new Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 on the front.

Samsung confirms Galaxy S25 Edge brings Corning Glass Ceramic 2 protection
We haven’t even seen the first generation yet, and here we are, with the Galaxy S25 Edge featuring it. A spokesperson for Samsung explains that it’s “a new glass ceramic overing that will deliver advanced protection in a new, remarkably thin device form factor.”
“Combining Corning’s advanced glass technology with Samsung’s proprietary processing and reinforcement technologies, the Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 cover on the Galaxy S25 Edge delivers a sleek yet strong design on Samsung’s slimmest S series device yet.”
This isn’t surprising. A leak from last month, courtesy of Evan Blass, had already spilled the beans. According to which, one of the lines included, “the titanium bezel and Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 front keep your phone looking sharp while providing exceptional protection”.
Aside from that, the Galaxy S25 Edge will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy SoC. A batch of leaked promotional materials has also revealed some key specs. According to these, the Galaxy S25 Edge will feature Corning Gorilla Victus 2 on the back. There will be IP68 water resistance rating, too. The camera specs also seem to be confirmed. Moreover, the Galaxy S25 Edge will sport a 12MP selfie camera. On the back, it will feature a 12MP ultra-wide and a 200MP wide-angle lens.
