While Samsung is gearing up to launch the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7, an affordable version, apparently called Z Flip FE, is also in the pipeline. Now, a fresh report (via Techmaniac) reveals key specifications and potential pricing of the Galaxy Z Flip FE. From what we can see, it largely looks like a rebadged Galaxy Z Flip 6 from 2024.
Galaxy Z Flip FE may have the same specifications as Z Flip 6
If the latest report is accurate, the Galaxy Z Flip FE will borrow all the specifications of the Flip 6. The new foldable phone will feature a 6.7-inch internal display with LPTO AMOLED 2X technology and a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate. The cover screen will sport a 3.4-inch Super AMOLED display with a 60Hz refresh rate.
Under the hood, Qualcomm’s 2023 flagship mobile chip, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, will power the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE, paired with 12GB of RAM. However, this contradicts earlier reports that Samsung may consider its Exynos 2500 chip for the Flip FE. Maybe the Korean firm is not yet ready to commercialize its 3nm Exynos 2500 processor.

In the camera department, the phone will boast a 50MP main camera and a 12MP ultra-wide camera. As for selfies, it will have a 10MP front camera unit on the internal screen. The best thing is that all camera units are capable of shooting 4K video at 60 fps.
Speaking of its battery, the phone will pack a 4,000mAh battery with support for 25W wired and 15W wireless charging. In terms of durability, it will come with an IP48 rating for dust and water resistance.
European pricing revealed
The publication says the Galaxy Z Flip FE’s price will not exceed €1,000 in the European market. So, apart from offering an additional year of software upgrade, it looks like there is nothing new Samsung has in store for the Galaxy Z Flip FE.
As of now, its launch window is not clear. While some say it will launch alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 in early July, others refute those rumors, hinting at a delayed launch. In addition to that, there is also confusion regarding its marketing name — rumors are pointing at three different names: Galaxy Z Flip FE, Galaxy Z Flip XE, and Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE.
Only time will tell what Samsung calls it. In the meantime, you can sign up for our Mystery Box Program for the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 to score an exclusive goodie bag when you purchase the devices.
