Samsung is continuing the global rollout of One UI 7, now bringing the update to more Galaxy S22, Galaxy Z Fold 4, and Galaxy Z Flip 4 users worldwide. Following the initial release in South Korea and the United States, the company has expanded availability to several European countries, with more regions expected to follow shortly.
One UI 7 is now available for the Galaxy S22, Fold 4, and Flip in global markets
The European Galaxy S22 units are receiving One UI 7 with the firmware version FYD9. The OTA package weighs around 4.5GB, though it varies depending on the model and region. Galaxy S22 users in China are also getting the update with the same build version. It’s just a matter of time before One UI 7 becomes available globally for the 2022 flagship lineup.
As for the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Flip 4 in Europe, One UI 7 carries firmware version HYD9 and a similar download size. The April security patch is part of the OTA package for all of these devices. To check for the update, head to Settings > Software update > Download and install on your device. If it’s not yet available, sit tight — Samsung typically expands coverage gradually over a few days or weeks.
The One UI 7 update, based on Android 15, introduces a refined user interface, updated privacy controls, smoother animations, new AI experiences, enhanced customizations, camera upgrades, and more across supported Galaxy devices. While older models like the Galaxy S22 and fourth-gen foldables miss out on a few new tools, users can still expect a lot of goodies.
Stay tuned for more coverage as Samsung continues its One UI 7 expansion across the globe. The company still has dozens of Galaxy smartphones and tablets to update to the new version. Some models may not receive the update until late in June or even July.
