Samsung has kicked off a global rollout of One UI 7 for the Galaxy Tab S8 series. Following an initial release in South Korea last week, the update is now available in Europe. Tab S8, Tab S8+, and Tab S8 Ultra users in other regions should receive it in the coming days.
One UI 7 is rolling out to the Galaxy Tab S8 series in global markets
Since beginning the stable rollout on April 7, Samsung has updated over 30 Galaxy smartphones and tablets to One UI 7. The rollout usually begins in its home country of South Korea before expanding to the rest of the world. It has been the same story for the Galaxy Tab S8 lineup, which picked up One UI 7 in Korea early last week.
Now, after a week’s wait, the update is rolling out for users in Europe. It comes with the firmware build version DYDC, the same as Korean units. The OTA package should weigh around 4.5GB, though the exact download size varies depending on the model. Samsung will soon release One UI 7 for these tablets in other parts of the world, including the US.
Based on Android 15, One UI 7 is a massive update for Galaxy devices. It brings a major US overhaul, smoother system animations, and advanced AI-driven functions. Samsung has also focused on camera improvements, enhanced customizations, and a more intuitive everyday experience. It is arguably the biggest update in Samsung’s One UI history.
As mentioned above, Samsung has already rolled out One UI 7 to several dozen models. It will soon release the update for more products. The company has dozens more lined up to receive One UI 7, with the rollout likely continuing through July. Galaxy Tab S8 and other Galaxy users can check for new software updates on their devices through the Settings app.
