Major Galaxy S25 Edge leak has bared it all
The Galaxy S25 Edge stands out with its sleek construction, featuring a razor-thin profile of just 5.85mm. It is shaping up to be Samsung’s slimmest flagship smartphone yet. The device combines a titanium frame and dual glass panels, including Gorilla Glass Victus 2 on the back and the all-new Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 on the front.
This durable glass shields a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED display, which delivers a sharp 3120 x 1440 resolution and a variable refresh rate ranging from 1Hz to 120Hz. An ultrasonic fingerprint sensor is embedded under the screen for fast and secure unlocking. Despite its slim form, the S25 Edge doesn’t skimp on materials, and at 163g, it’s surprisingly lightweight for a device in its class.
Powering the device is the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy, Qualcomm’s latest flagship chipset customized for Samsung. Paired with 12GB of RAM and either 256GB or 512GB of internal storage, the S25 Edge promises snappy multitasking and sustained performance across demanding apps. Samsung is readying the phone in Titanium Jetblack, Titanium Icyblue, and Titanium Silver colors.

A slim profile comes with a few compromises
So far, the Galaxy S25 Edge sounds like the smartphone to beat. It is slim, lightweight, and packs an industry-leading processor and display, while featuring a premium build — the handset is IP68-rated for water and dust resistance. However, achieving its record thinness meant Samsung had to make some compromises — primarily in battery capacity and camera hardware.
The upcoming slim smartphone houses a 3,900mAh battery, which may be just about enough to power the phone through the day with moderate usage. If you are a power user, the Galaxy S25 Edge might require a charger more than once a day. The device supports wireless charging, but we do not have precise figures regarding its charging speeds. If we are to guess, it should be 25W wired charging and 15W wireless charging.
Coming to the cameras, the setup is a bit unique. Samsung offers a 200MP primary camera here, featuring an f/1.7 aperture and an 85-degree field of view (FoV). It might be the same lens found on the Galaxy S25 Ultra. While that’s impressive, the S25 Edge doesn’t get a zoom camera. Instead, Samsung has equipped it with a 12MP ultrawide lens with an f/2.2 aperture and a 120-degree FoV.

Space constraints didn’t allow Samsung to offer a third rear camera, but ditching the zoom lens in favor of an ultrawide camera is an interesting choice. Samsung’s thought process might be that the 200MP primary shooter can deliver near-lossless pictures up to 3x or 4x magnification. The Galaxy S25 Edge also has a 12MP selfie camera with an f/2.2 aperture and an 80-degree FoV.
A flagship price tag
The Galaxy S25 Edge is a flagship smartphone, make no mistake. The camera setup may not be up to the mark, but this is a trade-off you must make for a slim profile. Otherwise, you get a similar overall experience as the rest of the S25 lineup, including the Ultra (Edge doesn’t support the S Pen, though). The package includes Bluetooth 5.4, Wi-Fi 7, and AI-powered One UI 7, based on Android 15.
Unsurprisingly, it carries a hefty price tag as well. According to Winfuture, the Galaxy S25 Edge will be available in Germany in late May, with a starting price of €1,249 for the 256GB model. The 512GB variant will retail for €1,369. This pricing structure puts it between the Galaxy S25+ and S25 Ultra. Expect something similar in the US and other markets, which means a starting price of around $1,100.

With the official launch less than two weeks away, leaks about the Galaxy S25 Edge should soon pick up the pace. While compromises in battery and camera hardware are evident, the device is aimed at users who prioritize design and portability. May 13 can’t come soon enough!
