Samsung has been using its QD-OLED in premium TVs and monitors for years. Its display division now intends to build a unique QD-OLED brand identity (BI) by partnering with several global clients. Samsung Display recently unveiled its plans, which include a trademark for a new QD-OLED logo.

Samsung Display introduces its new QD-OLED brand identity

A new BI will symbolize a drastic shift, meaning the technology has improved significantly. Speaking of the new identity, it has an emphasis on the letter “Q” from QD-OLED. The logo features a blue color, symbolizing Blue OLED technology. On top of that, the logo also includes a gradient effect that represents the wide color spectrum of QD-OLED. This unique feature ensures QD-OLED certainly stands out in the display industry.

Samsung Display’s QD-OLED technology debuted in late 2021. Since then, this cutting-edge display tech has been used in over 170 products, including TVs and monitors from global companies such as Samsung Electronics, Sony, Dell, MSI, ASUS, and HP.

A key selling point is the quality of the display, with QD-OLED achieving over 99% DCI-P3 and 90% BT2020 coverage. This demonstrates its ability to deliver a very broad color range among all display technologies. This ensures that colors are vivid and have pleasing contrast for the viewers.

QD-OLED combines the deep black levels of OLED technology with the benefits of quantum dots. As a result, we get a vibrant color reproduction and massively improved viewing angles. The new BI logo captures this trend well, allowing Samsung to connect to both customers and clients.

Now, to promote the new BI, Samsung Display is planning to collaborate with various global partners. It will showcase its new BI at major industry events as well as feature it on product packaging. Since QD OLED is among the top choices for display technology on premium offerings, the Korean display maker is reinforcing its lead in this segment.
