Samsung’s One UI 7 rollout plans initially disappointed many users, with roadmaps suggesting that several recent models wouldn’t receive the update before May. However, the company has managed to beat its own schedule for some devices. The latest to get the One UI 7 update ahead of time are the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4, bringing welcome news for foldable users.
Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Flip 4 grab One UI 7
Samsung has been rolling out One UI 7 since April 7, and the rollout has begun in Korea for every device that has received the update so far. It’s no different for the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Flip 4. The two 2022 foldables are getting the Android 15 update with the firmware version HYD9. The April 2025 Android security patch is part of the package as well.
The Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Flip 4 join the Fold 6, Flip 6, Fold SE, Fold 5, and Flip 5 in the list of Samsung foldables updated to One UI 7. All of these foldables have received this update worldwide, so the 2022 lineup should get it globally soon. Additionally, the Korean firm has pushed One UI 7 to the Galaxy S24 series, S24 FE, S23 series, Tab S10, and Tab S10. These devices have also received the update globally.
As mentioned above, the Fold 4 and Flip 4 were originally supposed to receive One UI 7 in May. Well, users in some regions may have to wait until next month to get it. Nonetheless, it’s good to see Samsung push the update ahead of schedule in some markets. We won’t be surprised if a few more Galaxy devices receive One UI 7 before the end of April.
