Samsung has recently released an update for its Always On Display (AOD) app, introducing version 8.8.43.2. The latest update addresses multiple bugs across Now Bar, Clock Setting, and AOD themes. The new version should be available to Galaxy users worldwide over the next few days.
Samsung’s latest AOD app update fixes three known bugs
The Always on Display is one of the most useful features on the Galaxy devices as it displays all important information without needing to turn the screen on. The Korean firm has made the latest version of its AOD app available on Galaxy Store alongside official release notes. The release notes mention fixes for three known bugs, but the company may have also patched some backend issues for enhanced performance.
First, the update fixes a Now Bar error related to Naver Sports. So, after updating to the latest version, you should be able to check live scores and other sports news from Naver Sports on the Now Bar without any errors. Secondly, the update fixes an issue with the cover screen clock settings. The app should now allow foldable phone users to configure the cover screen clock without any hassles.
Finally, the update fixes a problem related to widget positioning when using the AOD theme, ensuring that widgets now appear in the correct position. If you are currently experiencing these issues and want a better user experience, you should update to the latest version of the AOD app as quickly as possible.
That said, Samsung may not push the latest version to all eligible Galaxy users at the same time. So, you should wait for a few days. While sideloading the app’s APK file is another way to download early, we don’t recommend that method unless necessary. To check for the update, you need to head over to the Galaxy Store, tap on the Menu option, and then tap Updates. If the update shows up, download it to experience the latest enhancements of the app.
