If you like sports, One UI 7 gives you another reason to enjoy it. You might have heard about the Now bar, a new feature in One UI 7. So, Now bar lets you see live sports scores for your favorite teams. You don’t even have to unlock your phone or open an app to check the scores. And now apparently it’s faster, too.
Looks like Samsung may have quietly improved live sports scores for Now bar!
X user @ThePhoneFuel pointed out just how fast the Now bar is. According to the post, Now bar even showed the sports score before a live JioTV stream during an IPL match between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Mumbai Indians.
Now on One UI 7, The Now bar shows live scores ‘LIVE’ . The Live stream on TV lagged by a few seconds but Now Bar ! That’s working perfectly fine. Kudos Samsung 🤩 pic.twitter.com/CCeLHOtX7P

At exactly 7:20 PM, the Now Bar had already updated the score, while the live stream was still behind. This got a lot of attention from users, who were impressed with how fast it worked. It’s especially useful for fans who want quick updates or are stuck watching delayed streams.
Sure, live TV might lag sometimes because of network issues, but based on our own testing, it looks like Google Sports in the Now Bar has gotten faster and more reliable. That said, a few small problems still remain. Some users, for example, mentioned accidentally swiping away the Now Bar and then struggling to get it back. Well, that’s something which shows there’s still some room for improvement.
In the meantime, if you run into this issue, we’ve shared a few simple workarounds you can try to restore the Now bar and keep getting those real-time sports updates..
You can turn on the Now bar by heading to Settings > Lock screen & AOD > Now bar. Next, you’ve to tap on Sports from Google and pick your favorite sports or teams.
