Samsung’s One UI 7 stable update for the Galaxy S24 series is now available globally. The company recently released it in additional markets, including India and the rest of Asia, confirming a global rollout. The “hotfix” update is also available for unlocked units in the US.
Galaxy S24 gets One UI 7 in more markets
Samsung began the stable One UI 7 rollout for the Galaxy S24 series on April 7. The initial launch was limited to South Korea, but the company quickly released the update in Europe, the US, and Canada. However, it suspended the rollout a few days later due to bugs. After a week-long halt, Samsung resumed the update, pushing a hotfix in those markets.
This hotfix is now widely available in the US for users with an unlocked Galaxy S24, S24+, or S24 Ultra. We can confirm a nationwide rollout across all cellular networks. Updates are released in batches, so some users may have to wait a little longer to get One UI 7. But the rollout is well and truly underway, so it’s just a matter of time.
Meanwhile, Samsung has now kicked off a global release of the One UI 7 update for the Galaxy S24 trio. We have received confirmation of its availability in several countries across Asia and Africa. The update isn’t limited to beta users, so everyone should get it over the next couple of days. While beta users get a small OTA package weighing less than 500MB, the update size for non-beta users exceeds 5GB.
This massive size is because of the enormous amounts of goodies One UI 7 brings to your phone. From advanced AI features and UI enhancements to additional customization options, there is plenty to talk about. If you use a Galaxy S24 smartphone, watch out for a notification in the coming days. You can also manually check for updates from the Settings app.
