It’s April 10, the day Samsung’s One UI 7 update is supposed to expand beyond Korea. And it has! The big Android 15 update is now rolling out for the Galaxy S24 series in Europe, with users in Germany getting it first. It should be just a matter of time before Samsung rolls out One UI 7 in the rest of Europe, as well as other regions, including the US. A global rollout is expected to begin next Monday, April 14.
Samsung brings its One UI 7 update for the Galaxy S24 series to Europe; global rollout soon
As we have often seen, the One UI 7 update is initially available for German Galaxy S24 users who participated in the beta program. However, Samsung should soon push it to non-beta users in Germany and beyond. The stable build carries the firmware version BYCG and bundles the April security patch. It’s a 465MB update for beta users, but expect the OTA file for non-beta users to weigh around 5GB.
This update brings a massive UI overhaul to Samsung’s custom Android skin. While the core focus remains enhanced one-handed usage, the Korean firm has introduced subtle visual upgrades and other optimizations that elevate your smartphone experience. On top of this, One UI 7 offers new AI features, camera upgrades, and tons of other functional improvements.
After the Galaxy S24, Samsung will roll out One UI 7 to the Galaxy Z Fold 6, Flip 6, Galaxy S23, Tab S10, and a few more devices over the course of this month. Other eligible devices will receive this update between May and June, depending on the region. If rumors hold true, Samsung may quickly follow with the Android 16-based One UI 8 in July. The new version may ship out of the box on the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7. Stay tuned for more updates.
