Samsung Starts Selling Certified Re-Newed Galaxy S24 Series

It looks like Samsung has stopped selling its last year’s flagship Galaxy S24 Ultra in the US. It has been more than a month, and the smartphone is still not available for purchase on the Samsung US website. However, the company will now sell the Galaxy S24 Ultra as part of the Certified Re-Newed program, starting in its home country, South Korea. This means you will soon be able to buy a refurbished Galaxy S24 Ultra model at a lower price.

Samsung offers Certified Re-Newed Galaxy S24 series in Korea

Samsung recently announced that it would start selling Certified Re-Newed smartphones in Korea starting on March 31. The first available Certified Re-Newed smartphone lineup will be the Galaxy S24 series. The company will gradually expand its product lineup depending on market demand and consumer needs.

Under the Certified Re-Newed program, Samsung will offer returned products to consumers at a lower price than new devices. This will allow more consumers to experience the latest Galaxy AI features. It also reduces smartphone waste and promotes a circular economy.

“Samsung Electronics ‘Galaxy Certified Pre-Owned Phone,’ which guarantees quality, provides consumers with an additional option to purchase the flagship model. We hope that more customers will experience the ‘ Galaxy AI’ through this,” a Samsung official said (translated from the Korean language).

Pricing by Model

The company will list the Galaxy S24 series under the Certified Re-Newed program on Samsung.com, offering discounts of 260,000 to 640,000 KRW compared to new models.

• Galaxy S24 Ultra (256GB, 512GB, 1TB): 1,307,900 KRW, 1,367,300 KRW, 1,486,100 KRW
• Galaxy S24+ (256GB, 512GB): 1,041,700 KRW, 1,101,100 KRW
• Galaxy S24 (256GB, 512GB): 889,900 KRW, 949,300 KRW

Each Certified Re-Newed smartphone comes with a 2-year A/S warranty, which is the same warranty period the company offers for new products. In addition to that, customers can sign up for the Samsung Care+ plan, which offers compensation for damages within a specified period. If that’s not enough, Samsung also offers a full refund within seven days of purchase. The Korean firm may soon launch the program in the US.
