Samsung’s Home Up app received a significant feature upgrade in One UI 7.0, offering more advanced home screen and animation customizations. Now, the company has rolled out a new update focused on refining the user experience. This update includes important bug fixes and improvements, particularly addressing known issues in DIY Home.

Home Up update fixes bugs for smoother performance

Home Up, a key part of Samsung’s Good Lock customization suite, allows users to tweak and personalize their home screen layout beyond the default One UI settings. It also offers extensive animation customizations and lets you create a unique home screen for your Galaxy phone with no restrictions on the icon size and placement. On foldables, you can create separate home screen layouts for the two screens.

The initial release contained a few quirky bugs and Samsung addressed some of those with an update in mid-February. It has now rolled out another round of bug fixes with version 16.0.00.60 of the app. First up, Samsung fixed a wallpaper-related bug where widgets would fail to update or reflect new settings after changing wallpapers while using DIY Home.

Additionally, Samsung improved the handling of nested items, which are grouped folders, widgets, or icons. Moving nested items in DIY Home edit mode should feel smoother and more intuitive after installing the latest Home Up update. The new version also contains several other minor bug fixes for improved stability and performance.

While this update doesn’t introduce new features, the bug fixes enhance reliability, making Home Up a more polished tool for users looking to personalize their Galaxy devices. If you use this Good Lock module, be sure to update to the latest version via the Galaxy Store to take advantage of these improvements. Samsung recently released version 16.0.00.60, so it may take a while to reach all eligible users worldwide.
