Some users on Reddit are reporting a charging issue with Galaxy Buds 3 Pro. According to them, one of the earbuds doesn’t charge when placed inside the charging case. This issue happened a few months ago but was fixed quickly. Now, it seems to be happening again. In a related note, Samsung today began rolling out a minor firmware update to the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro.
Galaxy Buds 3 Pro has charging issues, and here are some quick workarounds that may fix
There isn’t an official fix for the charging issue yet, but you can try a few things to fix yourself. First, check if there’s any dust or debris inside the charging case or on the connectors. Cleaning them might help. Another option is to try reconnecting the earbuds or leave the charging case plugged in for a few hours to see if that makes a difference. However, one Reddit user mentioned (via Android Authority) that these steps didn’t work for them.
Instead, a Reddit user tenchichrono suggested checking if the connectors are misaligned. They could fix the problem by gently adjusting the connectors with a small screwdriver. This helped the earbud start charging again.
Meanwhile, another user dionicioagarcia found out the problem was related to the magnetic sensor that detects when the earbud is in the case. They managed to get the earbud charging by holding it close to the case, which tricked the sensor into thinking the earbud was inside. After doing this several times, the earbud started charging again, even though the case had initially shown that the charging had stopped. While these steps might not be permanent fixes, they could help until a proper update is released.
For what it’s worth, the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro had a rocky start; it seemingly had quality issues with the first batch. So if these workarounds don’t work, unfortunately, that could be the reason.
