Hours before Samsung lifts the curtain on the Galaxy S25 series, we’re already getting some juicy leaks. Some of which are backing up what we’ve heard before. One of the latest comes from the leaker Evan Blass, who took to X to share a teaser about Samsung’s upcoming announcement of Gorilla Armor 2. Along with it, he dropped a marketing poster of the Galaxy S25 Ultra, and there’s a little Easter egg featuring Corning’s iconic gorilla logo.
Corning Gorilla Armor 2 may have been confirmed for the Galaxy S25 Ultra
In December, the ever-reliable Ice Universe first hinted that the Galaxy S25 Ultra might sport Corning’s Gorilla Armor 2. And now Evan Blass is backing that up. When two of the biggest names in the leak game are singing from the same hymn sheet, it’s safe to say we’ll be seeing Samsung make this official. So I’m hoping to see less of those complaints about oleophobic coatings wearing off with Galaxy S25 Ultra.

At first, anti-reflective coatings might not sound like the most thrilling upgrade, but once you see it in action, you’ll get it. Trust me, put the Galaxy S24 Ultra next to any other phone, and it’s immediately obvious how much less glare and reflection Samsung’s flagship has. Honestly, I just wish Samsung had given it more love when the Galaxy S24 series dropped because it really deserved a shoutout.
It’s more than just a nice-to-have feature, though. With less reflection, the display stays brighter without cranking up the brightness, which is a nice little win for battery life. So, if the rumors are true, the Galaxy S25 Ultra might be getting a similar bump. While we don’t know all the ins and outs of the new Gorilla Glass Armor just yet, one thing’s for sure: Corning’s probably made it tougher and even better at cutting down those pesky reflections.
